The Challenge

CGHE needed a distinctive visual identity and digital presence that would:

  • Represent its role as a global coalition working across regions and health systems
  • Communicate complex public health goals clearly and professionally
  • Build credibility with international partners, medical institutions, and policymakers
  • Support ongoing awareness, engagement, and resource sharing

The design had to feel authoritative and global, yet remain approachable and legible for a wide audience including health professionals, advocates, and donors

Visual Identity — Concept & Execution

To visually convey the idea of a global coalition working together to eliminate hepatitis, I focused the logo design on:

  • A globe motif representing worldwide collaboration
  • Interlocking elements that symbolise different organisations uniting toward a common purpose
  • A balance of professional clarity and visual warmth to communicate both expertise and accessibility

This identity system set the tone for the wider brand, reinforcing trust while highlighting CGHE’s collaborative mission.

Website Design — Priorities & Approach

The website was designed with several key goals in mind:

1. Clear information hierarchy
CGHE’s mission, activities, and resources are content-rich. To support this:

  • Primary page sections were prioritised for quick scanning
  • Key action buttons were made prominent
  • Spacing and typography were used to reduce complexity and improve readability

2. Professional but approachable aesthetic
The visual direction balanced:

  • Authority and professionalism — to reflect CGHE’s global health remit
  • Approachability — to engage varied audiences without overwhelming them

3. Responsive, Inclusive Layouts
Layouts were crafted to work seamlessly across devices. On mobile, navigation and content access were simplified so users could find essential information on the go without frustration.

Throughout, the design maintained alignment with CGHE’s strategic goals and identity.

Outcome

The redesigned CGHE brand and website now:

  • Provides a clear, unified visual identity that reflects global collaboration and public health authority
  • Supports easy access to core information, resources, programs and country progress
  • Helps reinforce CGHE’s position as a credible resource for global partners working to eliminate hepatitis

This project demonstrates how thoughtful brand design and structured website interfaces can support complex global health missions through simplicity, clarity and purposeful visuals.
